Packaging

All Quaker branded paper board and corrugate is made from recycled fibres and are themselves recyclable. Additionally, many of our oatmeal cartons are 100% recyclable and are designed to fit into Canadian municipal recycling systems.

At Frito Lay Canada, all corrugated cardboard cartons used for our secondary packaging (and delivery of product to our customers) are 100% recyclable and reused on average 5-6 times before recycling. Our sales teams flatten the cases after delivery and return the cartons to our distribution centres for reuse. Exhausted cartons (those damaged and unable to properly protect and transport our product) are recycled and transformed into our new cartons. Since 1999, this reuse initiative has avoided the purchase of over 200 million new cartons, which is equivalent to approximately 2 million trees saved since 1999.
